Renting Murder at Tommy Bonetti's?
Everything you need for hosting a great game is provided in your rental package pictured here. A Host Binder provides all the detail you need, and game setup is easy. Those that have played indicate 10-15 minutes time is all that is needed to review the instructions and set up the game in your setting.
This game is NOT a role-playing murder mystery, and nothing additional is needed to make it fun. However, if you are looking to make your event even more memorable, perhaps the ideas listed below will help get your creative juices flowing:
- Create the ambiance for a gangster hang-out in the game play area.
- Invite guests to wear attire fitting for hanging out with the 'Gang'.
- Add an element of surprise... perhaps the guests have no idea what is ahead of them this evening. While still gathered around the table after dinner or just as a card game is getting underway, someone arrives, rushing into the room with 'the evidence' from the recent murders at Tommy Bonetti's Club.
- Use one of the two invitation designs we have created to formally invite guests to your event. These pdf files each contain two pages, for printing 4 two-sided invitations per page. The first page in the file is the front of the invitation and the second page in the file is the back. These can easily be printed at home on cardstock:
Why not ham it up with an fitting introduction before handing players the Confidential Envelope that gets the game underway, for example:
"Hey, Tommy really appreciates you guys coming tonight. He used his clout down at the station to get hold of the evidence from the murders that just took place at his Club. He wants to find the killers before the coppers do... so he can serve justice in his own way... you know what I mean?
All this evidence has to head back to the station in an hour... so we don't have much time! In this envelope (hand them the Confidential Envelope that comes with the game) is a letter that sums up your task for this evening... it should help you get started."
However you make the event unique, just be sure to fit in sharing the Rules / Guidelines provided in the Host Binder with guests before they get underway.
